Resume 2015

Well, soooo 2015 Is over. It was a crazy year, love, Work,marriage, more work, family, Christmas, ever more work!

You guys, who work in the hospitality - was it a crazy season for you? Did you have a lot of Christmas parties? We're people nice to you in the Christmasy spirit? Or was it a regular year with lots of crackers popping out, hats under tables and confetti in the tiny tiniest places ? 

Every year I am amazed how I promise myself, next year I won't do so many hours, I'll take a bit more break, I'll eat more snacks to have more energy rather than grabbing a bite of bread and just carry on. And guess what?! As we all know it's never a case. It's never happening and I always end up with even more time at work, loosing 1-3kg, looking like a zombie but still surprisingly enjoying all that mess!!!!! No idea how is it possible!!!! 

As it is morning now and new day about to start (service). Let's grab a cup of freshly grinded coffee and let's carry on with that cheeky smile.... ;)

People

1. Lunch service- restaurant is almost fully booked. Couple enters- we do have seating 1. Surprised they can't sit where they want. 2. Surprised that it can be busy. 3. After 20mins and 2attempts to take an order I've heard are you in rush or what? That was a first table- lovely start of the day. Lets see how it will carry on. 

2. Booking. Table for 2. Ladies. They couldn't make up their mind for 10 mins keep changing tables. Because feng shui was not right! OMG really?!

Same day and it's not even the end!

3. Booking. 2 Men. Decided to sit on table (which was set up for 7). And with a smile: "you don't mind, do you? We like a lot space. HELP!!!!!!!!!

4. Booking. Couple. Fireplace is on in the bar, so we try to keep tables on side, we know it's boiling they will complain. Regular shows up. She is not often but I know that will something. It always is. I'm not mistaken. She is changing 6 times table!!!! And me changing her settings!!! Finally she make up her mind. Half way through starters she swap places with her husband. A half way through main they did again. Speechless...

So it's really interesting to work in the hospitality. It's been 14 years since I started and it's still going on. Interested how much longer...

O mamo, już prawie minęło 2h a tak jakby 5 min. Siedzisz na łóżku i rozmyślasz. Uciekła do windy.... A teraz jestem tu... Ludzi tłum... Myśli dziwne....


Radio Zet leci w tle, a palce przesuwają się bezwiednie na klawiaturze.

Dylemat... Podjęcie ważnej decyzji, też tak masz? Nieskończony potok myśli. Co? Jak? Gdzie? Kiedy? Po co?  A może to już?
